Maternity Albums

Each maternity album is designed and created by Opie with a modern and clean look. Your chosen images are individually retouched for printed products. My albums are stunning decorative art pieces that showcase your images the way they were meant to be seen. Albums are professionally printed by my preferred vendors and feature vivid color and the finest construction. Most albums take 3-7 business days to create. Beauty

Maternity Hair and Makeup Artistry

Having professional hair an makeup takes an already amazing photo shoot to the next level of excellence. If you're looking for that little something extra that will really wow everyone who sees your pictures you're definitely going to want to opt for this. A professional artist will come directly to the studio to do all the work so all you need to do is just show up and they will make you look fabulous. I've also taken out the hassle of finding the best artists in the area as I've tried them all and only use the best. I guarantee that you'll absolutely love the results!

How to Prepare

In preparation for your session, I suggest the following:
  • Hair touch-ups, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedicure
  • Wax or shave any body hair that you do not want showing in your images. (Got Beauty)
  • Moisturize ALOT leading up to your shoot.
  • Purchase clip-in hair extensions if you want to add length to your hair (Sally Beauty Supply)
  • Wear loose clothing to your session so you don't leave marks on your skin.
  • If your having professional makeup service, please come with a clean and moisturized face.
  • If your having professional hair styling, please come with your hair blown out.

Wearing cute outfits is essential for your maternity shoot. You should bring your best lingerie and maternity clothes with you. Keep in mind this is a maternity photo shoot not a costume contest. Keep your outfits beautiful, romantic, and classy. In addition to clothing props can also provide fun accents to your pictures.
If you're not sure what to wear you can contact me and ask away. In addition to bringing your own items I've begun offering a select set of outfits and props that you can also try out during your photo shoot.

Make the Most of Your Session

Planning is very important. Let me know what items or particular images you may be interested in beforehand so I will have a game plan. If you are interested in topless or artistic nude portraits please let me know before your session so we can incorporate those in.

Salt Lake City Maternity - To Do List

Maternity To Do List

I've organized a few helpful tips before coming to your maternity shoot that will help you get the most out of your maternity session.
  • Use your favorite skin moisturizer before your shoot. I have lotion at the studio but applying some on a few hours before your shoot will assist in making your skin look beautiful.
  • Practice your model face in the mirror. Don't worry about feeling silly, everything looks amazing once it's shot. Feel free to experiment with looks that would seem goofy on their own, but look amazing in pictures.
  • Please wear something non-restrictive over to the studio. I recommend not wearing undergarments before your shoot as the elastic sometimes causes redness on the skin.
  • Try everything on in front of a mirror.
  • Cut off all tags for any new clothes.
  • Bring black, white, ivory, and pink underwear. These colors are important as they will match nearly everything you might want to bring or wear.
  • Most maternity sessions are shot with bare feet, saddles, or flats.
  • Bring more items than you will wear. Most outfits will take about 20-30 minutes of shooting during the session. Please keep this in mind when planning your session.
  • Bring an iPod with your favorite playlist. I have fun music if you don't have your own player.
